Vice President Johnson, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Chief Justice, President Eisenhower, Vice President Nixon, President Truman, reverend clergy, fellow citizens:
We observe today not a victory of party, but a celebration of freedom -- symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning -- signifying renewal, as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three-quarters ago.
The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe -- the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans -- born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage, and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
This much we pledge -- and more.
To those old allies whose cultural and spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends. United there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided there is little we can do -- for we dare not meet a powerful challenge at odds and split asunder.
To those new states whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom -- and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside.
To those people in the huts and villages of half the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them help themselves, for whatever period is required -- not because the Communists may be doing it, not because we seek their votes, but because it is right. If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.
To our sister republics south of our border, we offer a special pledge: to convert our good words into good deeds, in a new alliance for progress, to assist free men and free governments in casting off the chains of poverty. But this peaceful revolution of hope cannot become the prey of hostile powers. Let all our neighbors know that we shall join with them to oppose aggression or subversion anywhere in the Americas. And let every other power know that this hemisphere intends to remain the master of its own house.
To that world assembly of sovereign states, the United Nations, our last best hope in an age where the instruments of war have far outpaced the instruments of peace, we renew our pledge of support -- to prevent it from becoming merely a forum for invective, to strengthen its shield of the new and the weak, and to enlarge the area in which its writ may run.
Finally, to those nations who would make themselves our adversary, we offer not a pledge but a request: that both sides begin anew the quest for peace, before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all humanity in planned or accidental self-destruction.
We dare not tempt them with weakness. For only when our arms are sufficient beyond doubt can we be certain beyond doubt that they will never be employed.
But neither can two great and powerful groups of nations take comfort from our present course -- both sides overburdened by the cost of modern weapons, both rightly alarmed by the steady spread of the deadly atom, yet both racing to alter that uncertain balance of terror that stays the hand of mankind's final war.
So let us begin anew -- remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate.
Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belaboring those problems which divide us.
Let both sides, for the first time, formulate serious and precise proposals for the inspection and control of arms, and bring the absolute power to destroy other nations under the absolute control of all nations.
Let both sides seek to invoke the wonders of science instead of its terrors. Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths, and encourage the arts and commerce.
Let both sides unite to heed, in all corners of the earth, the command of Isaiah -- to "undo the heavy burdens, and [to] let the oppressed go free."¹
And, if a beachhead of cooperation may push back the jungle of suspicion, let both sides join in creating a new endeavor -- not a new balance of power, but a new world of law -- where the strong are just, and the weak secure, and the peace preserved.
All this will not be finished in the first one hundred days. Nor will it be finished in the first one thousand days; nor in the life of this Administration; nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.
In your hands, my fellow citizens, more than mine, will rest the final success or failure of our course. Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its national loyalty. The graves of young Americans who answered the call to service surround the globe.
Now the trumpet summons us again -- not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need -- not as a call to battle, though embattled we are -- but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation,"² a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.
Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind? Will you join in that historic effort?
In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility -- I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it. And the glow from that fire can truly light the world.
And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.
My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.
Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.

张海迪胸部以下失去知觉,但这些困难反而使她有了更为远大的目标,学习掌握了德语、日语、英语。她为什么能取得常人都不容易取得的成就呢?因为她在承受巨大挫折的同时,也将挫折化为了动力,让挫折成为自己的奴隶,再一次战胜了磨难。

Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come.
How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

需要注意的是,运用这种方式应掌握分寸,弄不好会变为哗众取宠,故作耸人之语。应结合听众心理、理解层次出奇制胜。再有,不能为了追求怪异而大发谬论、怪论,也不能生硬牵扯,胡乱升华。否则,极易引起听众的反感和厌倦。须知,无论多么新鲜的认识始终是建立在正确的主旨之上的。

首先,我先谈一下入职几天来的感受: 入职时间 可能仅仅一周左右,但B公司给我留下了深刻的印象,一 是公司氛围非常好, 上下级间、平行 同事间都非常友好、和-谐,充满着浓郁的亲情文化,正是这种亲情文化让我感受到,在B公司除了基本的雇佣关系外,更是一种充满温馨、关爱的家人关系;二是B公司的硬件资源达到相当的水平,这包括公司的厂区、生产车间、生产设备、配套设施,硬件资源必将为B公司将来的跨越式发展和腾飞提供强大保证;三是公司同事工作都非常敬业,我发现门卫以及后勤人员很早就在裁剪草坪以等绿化树木,生产员工也都能确保生产线昼夜不停而忘我工作,财务人员工作也非常敬业,我们晚上打球后一起吃饭,Z经理还匆匆吃饭后赶回办公室处理开票事宜, 公司销售部、招投标部、售后服务部门在很多公司都是相对繁忙,工作繁琐的一个部门,我发现销售部人员来往于办公室和车间之间,与生产车间积极沟通发货事宜,许多售后服务人员还奋战在省内外安装工地,生产部S主任频繁来往于车间与销售部,我都把S主任误以为是销售部门员工了。这里更不用提公司的各位中高层领导,都表现出很强的责任感,真正体现出了以身作则、身先士卒的领导风范;四、B公司是一个真正具备运动精神和氛围的企业,全公司大多数员工都崇尚运动,上至高管,下至基层都有相当数量的员工真正投身到篮球运动中来。运动精神,我的理解就是不畏强敌、全力以赴,也可以说就是亮-剑精神:狭路相逢勇者胜。一个具有运动精神的企业,是永远年轻的,永远充满朝气的,永远充满斗志的,是永远不言败的,更是永远具有战斗力的企业。我看到了B公司完全具备这一点。
其次,我想谈下,关于公司营销管理方面个人初步工作思路。由于时间有限,对公司内外部资源状况以及信息了解尚不充分,若有不当或失实之处,请各位领导和同事海涵!
第一,公司需要进一步完善公司营销战略规划及其战略执行方案。营销战略重点要解决的是战略定位和竞争战略。其中营销战略定位要解决的是品牌定位、产品定位、目标市场定位、区域定位。(1)品牌定位也即我们公司品牌定位于行业什么层次,定位于管道技术专家则必须构建公司公司技术优势,定位于管道行业领导者,则必须全面构建企业优势:市场营销优势、技术研发优势、生产运营优势、财力资源优势、人力资源优势、综合管理优势等;(2)市场定位,我们公司根据自身实际状况,在今后3-5年甚至更长时间主要选择哪一部分细分市场,是市政领域市场还是民用建筑市场,市政领域市场中是选择给水、燃气、电力、通讯、矿山流体输送等领域中一种,还是几种,或者是全部选择。在市政给水领域我们主要选择的是农村饮用水工程、市政道路输水工程、工业园区及工厂输水、专业化工、造纸、饮料食品、冶金行业等流体输送工程。(3)产品定位,重点解决的是在今后3-5年乃至更长时间段内,主要生产什么产品,重点考虑产品组合的问题,也即产品品类和产品线长度的问题,公司主要生产PE燃气、PE给水、PVC给水、通讯及电力管道等市政类产品其中几种或全面生产,甚至考虑在适当的机会进入民用建筑管道的生产,这需要做出精准的产品组合选择(4)区域定位,要解决的是在今后3-5年内,我公司主要开展营销业务的市场区域,比如是选择华中区域、还是全国市场,是选择在华中区域采用采蘑菇的方法拓展区域市场,也即先拓展利润丰厚的市场再采摘次丰厚的市场,还是采用地毯式搜索等方式进行精耕细作,这需要进行系统和精准规划。公司在营销战略上应该有一定程度清晰的规划,但需要进一步深化、细分,并切实明确自身定位,并综合企业内外部资源打造出有明确差异化的竞争战略,塑造行业优势地位,并将营销战略规划形成可执行行的战略执行方案,从而确保公司将来能以稳健、快速、健康、可持续性的发展。
第二,公司销售模式有待于进一步完善和细化。由于市政管道产品的特性决定了我们的销售模式以工程直销为主。那我们有个问题需要思考:当前管道销售主要销售模式有两种:传统经销渠道销售和工程销售,民品进传统渠道,市政产品既可渠道销售,也可工程项目直销,公司的销售模式中,传统经销渠道和工程直销渠道如何实现互补,两种渠道模式各自如何拓展,两种渠道模式各占多大比例。结合公司营销人力资源现状,如何有计划、分阶段实施渠道组建,这将是以后工作中迫切需要解决的问题。
第三、目标市场细分和区域市场选择需要更进进一步明确。公司选择拓展的市场区域需要进一步明确,并严格建立计划管理机制,确保各区域月度、年度计划达标;针对各个区域市政市场中,我们是主攻农村饮用水市场、燃气市场、市政道路输水工程、工业园区及工厂输水、专业化工、造纸、饮料食品、冶金行业等流体输送工程中的一种还是全部细分市场,我们的主攻项目规模是选择1千万以上,还是500万以上,或100万以上。数量众多的中小项目由于规模以及运输和服务的问题,我们是选择放弃还是采用全面撒网式拓展,这诸多问题需要我们进一步研究明确。并严格贯彻在销售人员日常销售工作中。
第四,公司需要进一步加大营销团队建设。营销团队的组建是紧紧围绕公司营销战略而展开,营销团队是公司营销战略的真正执行者,是公司营销目标达成的尖兵。从一个企业的中长期发展而言,企业的成功靠的是整个团队整体协同作战的成功,同样,销售业绩的达成也必将靠的是整个营销团队整体作战。营销团队建设的两个关键点,一是数量,建立与企业年度营销目标相匹配的一定数量的营销团队,第二是质量,销售人员的战斗能力一方面取决于其自我规划以及对公司发展远景的认知度,其二取决于企业的激励机制,其三取决于企业的培训体系。三者缺一不可,但若前两者都具备,培训对于提升营销团队战斗力显得尤为重要。系统、完善、实操性强的培训我体系
打造在营销团队管理中将是非常重要的。在以后工作营销培训工作将是非常重要的一环。今后,我将结合自己建材营销心得,编撰《管道营销手册》等工具书,内容包括:商务礼仪、营销知识、沟通技能、多元化渠道拓展策略以及技能、大客户拓展技能、标准化营销话术等。
以上是我个人的粗浅认识及看法,希望在以后的工作中,各位同事能对本人多提宝贵意见和建议,并希望能获得大家的大力支持和配合,我在这里表示衷心感谢。

大家好!
首先,非常感谢大家的信任,选举我担任××村村长。肩负着各位代表和全村一千多群众的期望和重托,现在我的心情难以平静,我深感使命的光荣、责任的重大。在此,我还要衷心感谢历届的村支两委,是你们的辛勤努力,为我们这一届村委会打下了坚实的基础。 在任职期内,我一定不辜负大家对我的期望,坚决贯彻、执行党和国家的方针、政策,在保证完成国家下达的各项指标、任务的前提下,主要办好三件大事,为我村早日进入“小康”行列,打好基矗。
第一,要致富先修路,大家有目共睹,我们的董亥村是一个极其贫困落后的一个村,原因是交通不便,信息闭塞,严重地制约了我村的经济发展,特别是永康至董亥村的公路是全乡唯一的未修油路的通村公路,由于山高路陡,虽然每年多次维修,但是路面乃不能保持畅通,严重地威胁着群众的财产和生命安全,这是我们董亥村人民群众急待解的问题。
第二,民以食为天,我们董亥村人民群众的生活水平还处在温饱线边缘,本来人多地少,由于我村农业基础实施建设和生产力水平十分落后,导致在我村北部的甲项、甲坪、拉坎片区共近200亩良田丢荒多年,每年直接损失近20万余元,这是迫切解决的又一个问题。
第三,抓好教育工作。
教育是百年大计,千年大计。十年树木,百年树人。治贫必须先治愚,脱贫必须科学生产。没有文化,不懂科学,现在种田也种不好。因为现在单凭力气、单靠老经验是种不好田的,还必须懂科学、懂技术、有文化才行。科学技术的发展,日新月异,要种好田,搞好生产,就必须有科学文化知识做后盾。另外,没有文化,不懂科学,精神文明新风尚也树不起来,旧风俗、旧习惯就会盛行。所以,我们必须重视教育,抓好教育这件大事。在全村持久开展学文化、学科技活动,长期开展扫盲工作,让青壮年尽早脱盲。为了保证孩子们有良好的学习条件和环境,为了保证正常的教学秩序,我们决不挤占教育经费、不拖欠教师的工资。中央提出:科教兴国。我们也认识到,只有科教,才能兴农。再难不能难孩子,再难不能难教师,再难不能难教育!
对这些问题,我深知,自己的视野、能力和水平与要担负的职责相比还有差距,我决心倾尽全力,扎实工作,以勤补拙,以廉立身;我更知道,加快董亥村发展既是十分紧迫的任务,又是十分艰巨的工程,但只要得到乡党委、政府的关心和大力支持以及村支部和全村人民上下同心,团结奋斗,开拓创新,就没有迈不过的坎,没有干不成的事,我坚信,只要在县、乡党委、政府的领导下,只要有父老乡亲们对我的支持,不管前面的路多难走,我也决不退缩,我将和父老乡亲们一起,同心协力,共创美好未来!

Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit to the hills of Appalachia to the quiet lanes of New-town, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.

That is our generation’s task – to make these words, these rights, these values – of Life, and Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness – real for every American. Being true to our founding documents does not require us to agree on every contour of life; it does not mean we will all define liberty in exactly the same way, or follow the same precise path to happiness. Progress does not compel us to settle centuries-long debates about the role of government for all time – but it does require us to act in our time.

For now decisions are upon us, and we cannot afford delay. We cannot mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate. We must act, knowing that our work will be imperfect. We must act, knowing that today’s victories will be only partial, and that it will be up to those who stand here in four years, and forty years, and four hundred years hence to advance the timeless spirit once conferred to us in a spare Philadelphia hall.

My fellow Americans, the oath I have sworn before you today, like the one recited by others who serve in this Capitol, was an oath to God and country, not party or faction – and we must faithfully execute that pledge during the duration of our service. But the words I spoke today are not so different from the oath that is taken each time a soldier signs up for duty, or an immigrant realizes her dream. My oath is not so different from the pledge we all make to the flag that waves above and that fills our hearts with pride.
