已经开学几天了，也确实证明高三生活是挺忙得，早上六点半起床，晚上十二点睡觉，周六周日还要补课。现在每天几乎都没时间走出教室，更别说去食堂或者操场了。每天在教室、厕所、办公室之间来回穿梭。手里拿着厚厚的高三专用复习资料书，永远都是睡眼惺松的表情。一切仿佛又回到初三那年的夏天。生活没有激情，没有娱乐。有的只是永远做不完的习题，永远看不完的书。于是终于反应过来，原来真的是高三了，再没有犹豫或者重来的可能了。就像高老头里，男主人翁说的那句话“是该拼一拼的时候了。”

然而，此刻的我们仍是可以庆幸的。起码我们还可以再拼。而有得拼就是好的。现在离高考还有将近一年。这总比某天背着书包上学突然发现学校大门多了一块告示牌，上面写着：前方高考。让人欣慰得多。所以，终于觉得以前混过了那么多年，不能再混了。

相信在座的每一个人都还有自己的梦想或者信念，而且我更相信大家都无比清楚地知道梦想与现实的差距有多大。可是，难道就因为看不见前方的路而就放弃努力吗?因为没有信心，害怕失败，所以就不断的逃避摆在面前的事实来麻痹自己吗?其实高考就像所有的游戏一样，你历经千辛万苦，终于打到boss了。你会说ok，咱不玩了吗?你不会。所以不到game over就不应该死心的。

所以那些梦想不能放弃，所以要把高考作为一个跳板来完成自己华丽的蜕变，所以不管高考有多难，都必须拼死熬过去。大学的路我们已经走出很远了，我们已经付出了太多的青春和汗水：我们都在十二点的钟声里熬红眼睛过，在政史地的笔记里绝望的想哭过。如果现在再来抱怨考试制度的不好，再来说后悔要放弃已经显得太晚了。

也许和别人比，我们不如别人。可现实就是总要有人冲在最前面，也总要有人落在最后面。而现在唯一能做的，不是怨恨，不是堕落，而是站在块地上，重新审视自己，坚守住自己。差，我们可以认。输，我们不能认!竞争永远是前进的最好动力，是超越的最佳状态。而我同你的竞争已经开始了。我只用把自己做好。若众人喧嚷里皆享尽的是声色犬马，那么在那一方谧静里总会有属于我的淡若天涯。因为我该超越的永远只是我自己。

有很多人也在说奋斗，我说你一个书都不带回家的人跟我谈什么奋斗?!我说你一个作业都不写完的人跟我谈什么奋斗?!你想过你要什么?你想过你该怎样做，想过怎样克制自己吗?那你的奋斗又从何说起?

And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”

In nearly 100 years, the average global temperature experienced twice fluctuations which is “cold-warm-cold-warm”. Generally, it is the trend that global climate is becoming warmer and warmer . In 1980s,global temperature rised apparently. According to Chinese scientists, the average temperature in China has risen by 1.1 degrees

centigrade in the last 5 decades. It is higher than the reported global average. We are seeing more frequent bouts of extreme weather in many parts of the country. For example, last spring, the most severe drought in 50 years hit northern China affecting the livelihood of 4 million people. Environmental damage and climate change is a reality for us. Out of the world?s most polluted 20 cities, half are in China,70% of Chinese rivers are polluted . China has become the largest carbon emitter of the world.

It is really thought-provoking(发人深省). Who pays for it ? First,as the pace of human high-tech development process goes quiker and quiker, the side-effects with the science development reflected, global warming is one example. more and more greenhouse gases with the development of economy are being discharged into the air.About 70% of the greenhouse gases has been composed of carbon dioxide,which is considered as one of the greatest causes of global warming . It has harmful effects,causing the sea level to raise and many natural disasters to strike. On the other hand , scientists in one wave after another try to awaken us to the growing threat of global warming.But many coutries tend to turn a deaf ear(充耳不闻) to the scientists?warnings.In fact,the earth?s atmosphere is definitely being warmed and the problem is largely man-made. A wise way is that we should get moving to protect ourselves. So the public demand that all nations should taket strong measures to prevent the increase of the earth?s temperature.

In my opinion, it is the high time for us to take action. In order to save the earth, we should try to do things below: no air conditioning, use recycled paper,abandon meat food, don?t use plastic bags,take a bus.It is little drops of life.As long as everyone takes action, it will be a powerful strength to rescue our planet. All countries are supposed to take the legislative initiative as soon as possible.Only in this way can the global warming be put under control.

At the beginning I was belittled by my colleagues. But they were really surprised when I translated seven English articles over 5,000 words on only one day. Gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. In their opinion I turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.

I also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. So I often take part in activities concerning public welfare. I once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates. We taught the kids there who could not afford school. While showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honesty and their purity. I couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us, future teachers.

Besides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. I do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. We also write a play and put it on in our spare time.

Campus life is the most splendid time. But different people have different choices. first, i’ll say something about world expo history. as we know, the very first world expo, the great exhibition of 1851, took place in the crystal palace in london. uk. ever since then, the goals of world expos have been both high-minded as well as commercial. visitors are able to explore the world outside of their everyday experience—outside cultures, new scientific advancements, and new inventions. world expos have excited and inspired more and more people in the world.

on december3, XX, the bureau of international expositions (or call it bie) announced that shanghai will host expo2010. the bie had received bids from five cities to host expo2010. among the 5 nice cities, the bie chose shanghai at last! it’s really an exciting news for not only shanghainese, but also all of chinese people. here are some details about it.

look at this profile carefully. the title is “the 2010 world exposition ,shanghai, china ”. this is the logo.

and the theme is “better city., better life”.ok, let’s guess who is the image representative? yeah, you’re right, yao ming!

shanghai expo is the first comprehensive world expo held in a developing country. and it is also the first one that takes “the city” as its theme, hoping that it can push forward the city development and help bring about a better urban living environment, just like the theme: better city, better life.

Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.

One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted.
